The academic world has been shocked and outraged by the recent news from Viseu. Once an internationally acclaimed school of architecture, through the combined effort of the faculty group, now under siege by the Rector (Braga da Cruz) and the local administrator (Passos Morgado) for rea-sons unknown or of a more private nature.

After three years of hard work the bad guys win! After forcing the resignation of the coordinator and father to the school of Viseu (José Cornélio da Silva) the «architects» of this malevolent plan (Rector Braga da Cruz and local administrator Passos Morgado) took the opportunity to eradicate all the teachers and introduce a set of 15 modernist hard-liners that before the awe of the faculty core proclaimed «the end of the brainwashing».

I would like to mention here the unbelievable character assassination which has been practiced on José Cornélio da Silva (former coordinator of the school of Viseu) and the scandalous academic intrigue which led to the rejection of his extraordinarily powerful and courageous Ph. d. research work... I bring to your knowledge the fact that the Catholic University in Viseu has decided to abruptly change the orientation of the School of Architecture , heeding to the lobby groups that endorse modernism as the only acceptable architecture for our time...
