I would like to mention here also the unbelievable character assassination which has been practiced on José and the scandalous academic intrigue which led to the rejection of his extraordinarily powerful and courageous Ph. d. research work…

I have seen and read through this 700 pages opus magnum of great erudition and outstanding academic standard: I was absolutely shocked by the mafioso methods and mediocrity and weirdness of manipulative politicized and evidently irregular and criminal use of academic procedures to deadlock José Cornélio da Silva's excellent pioneering work in Portugal .

José has been very humble and discrete about the hell he went through these last year but I like to express my gratitude for his achievements in Viseu and the sacrifices he and his family had to suffer these last months!

SCANDALOUS

This is such a blessing to be supported by noble and dedicated friends! Thanks to Bill Westfall, Samir Younés, Nir Buras, Audun, Matthew, Julio Cesar, Javier, Inigo, Anne Daigle, and so many others to support the difficult battle of the New School of Viseu! My compassion goes again to the wonderfully enthusiastic and brilliant students (I miss them a lot!) and the absolutely amazingly combative little group of faculty which have taken the challenge to defend our humanist and most contemporary ecological positions on the city and architecture against a most vicious and coward enemy: ignorance, provincialism and globalization, --the worst of contemporary, the most regressive of modernity and the most ridiculous backward-looking of modernism...

IGNORANCE, PROVINCIALISM AND GLOBALIZATION
